Our Retreat in September 2018 was held at Quaker Ridge Camp in Woodland Park. Twenty-six ladies participated this year.
We had a well-lit room for sewing (yes, it was a little "warm" - but then, the weather was unseasonably warm!) with expansive views including the "back side" of Pikes Peak. And there were other rooms with large tables - great for cutting into a large piece of yardage or sorting 50 stacks of charm squares! The ping-pong table in the Game Room was used to layout the pieces for more than one top!
Some of us stayed up late to sew in our pajamas, or got up early still in jammies to sew with a first cup of coffee. We celebrated two birthdays! The ladies of Nuts 'n Bolts quilt shop in Woodland Park visited on our second night to give us a short program, sharing a number of kits they have available in the shop.
Our rooms were big (two queens or a full and a queen, and two sets of bunk beds in every room) with a huge bathroom and extra vanity and sink in the room. And the food was good - even if it was down the Stairs of Death! A few of us decided to walk back up the road instead. And we shuttled a few ladies back/forth by car.
Our Photographer was stealthy/busy with her camera - so Enjoy her "take" on the Retreat!
