The Raffle Quilt for 2020 was made with Civil War Era reproduction fabrics, and measures 100"x100". The original design or pattern is unknown. The quilt was pieced by two of our members, one of whom also did the quilting.
The Drawing for this quilt will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020, at 10:00a.
Our quilt will be on display during the Southern Colorado Quilt Show, April 2-11 (except Sunday), 10:00a - 4:00p. This Show is held annually at the El Pueblo History Museum, 301 N. Union Ave. in Pueblo. Admission is Free. Raffle tickets will be available.
Our Quilt Show for 2020 will be held on July 4 and 5 (Saturday-Sunday), 10:00a - 4:00p, in the La Veta Community Center. This is a Free event, and is held the same weekend as Art in the Park.
Our Raffle Quilt for 2019 was based on the Jinny Beyer pattern for Shenandoah Baskets, and measures 85" x 85". This quilt has been appraised at $6,000.
The 2019 Quilt Show was scheduled for July 5th & 6th 2019, in the LaVeta Community Center, but we cancelled the Show due to the threat of floods in the area especially due to the Spring Fire.
The Raffle Drawing was held on Monday, July 8, in the Colorado City Recreation Center during our regular July meeting. Our winner was Carol Connell of LaSalle Co. She bought her ticket at Quilt-A-Fair in Longmont!
Our 2018 quilt was won by Mary Filer!
The Annual Quilt Show was scheduled to be held in the LaVeta Community Center on Saturday & Sunday, July 7 and 8. However, the Show was cancelled due to the Spring Fire.
