The new Raffle Quilt for 2020 is made with Civil War Era reproduction fabrics, and measures 100"x100". The original design or pattern is unknown. The quilt was pieced by two of our members, one of whom also did the quilting.
We anticipate showing this quilt (and selling raffle tickets) at Quilt-A-Fair in Longmont on September 27 & 28, and at the Quilt & Craft Show at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Walsenburg on November 2.
Our Quilt Show for 2020 has not yet been scheduled - more information will be forthcoming in a couple of months.
Our Raffle Quilt for 2019 is based on the Jinny Beyer pattern for Shenandoah Baskets, and measures 85" x 85". This quilt was recently appraised at $6,000.
Our 2019 Quilt Show was scheduled for July 5th & 6th 2019, in the LaVeta Community Center, but we cancelled this year's Show due to the threat of floods in the area especially due to the Spring Fire last year.
The Raffle Drawing was held on Monday, July 8, in the Colorado City Recreation Center during our regular July meeting.
Our winner is Carol Connell of LaSalle Co. She bought her ticket last year at Quilt-A-Fair in Longmont!

Our Annual Quilt Show was scheduled to be held in the LaVeta Community Center on Saturday & Sunday, July 7 and 8. However, the Show was cancelled due to the Spring Fire.
The Raffle Drawing was held as scheduled on Sunday, July 8, at 4:00p in Colorado City.
Our annual show was held for two days in the LaVeta Community Center on Saturday - Sunday, July 1 & 2, 2017. Eighteen of our 50 members showed quilts. We counted xxx visitors - but we know we missed some!
This year we offered our visitors three categories from which to choose a favorite - Quilts, Throws, and Wallhangings. The winners are shown below.
