Scrappy Ladies Quilt Guild

Quilters in Huerfano and Pueblo Counties, Colorado

About Us

Our Guild was established in 1996 as a community for people who support the importance of Quilts In Our Lives - past, present and future.

We meet on the second Monday of each month, at the Colorado City Community Center (directions below), beginning at 10:00a. Following a short business meeting, we may have a program - perhaps with a guest speaker.  We finish with the sharing by our members of both completed efforts and projects in process. Guests are welcome (no fee)!

We provide quilts in support of several local organizations, notably AADA (Advocates Against Domestic Assault) which is a member of the coalition Violence Free Colorado; the Veterans Community Living Center in Walsenburg, including the Dialysis Center and the Alzheimers Unit (SPRHC); the Mt. Rose Health Center Palliative Care and Hospice in Trinidad, and the Sangre de Cristo Center for Youth (SCCY) in Walsenburg.

We are a nonprofit organization, registered with the State of Colorado. Beginning in 2024 we will no longer sell Raffle Tickets to the public. We will have a drawing in-house for a Special Quilt at our December meeting.

Beyond fellowship, the featured purpose of our annual retreat is to preserve the tradition, culture and history of quilting, and to promote the knowledge and appreciation of all aspects of quilting.
